Hello Parents and Families!
It’s conference time!! Our first round was last night. We really enjoy meeting all of you and getting more insight on your kids. Forgot your time? Need to sign up? Click here!
We’ve been having a great time with Project Lead the Way. It’s been really awesome to see your kids learning how to work together, how to share their ideas, and how to build robots. Check out some photos from our PLTW adventures here. Of course, you can always check out our class website for more photos of things we’ve been up to! https://koandjason.weebly.com/class-photos
Here are some things to ask your child about to give you an idea of what’s been happening in class lately.
OCTOBER BOOK PROJECT
We’re ten days into October, so you may want to check in with your child about how their book project is going. In class, they each calculated how many chapters/pages they should be reading per day in order to finish reading their book before the end of the month. Ask them how they’re doing with that! They’re also each keeping a “case file” about the story as they read their book, so you may want to take a look at it to see how they’re progressing. They’re supposed to be managing this project at home, but it’s helpful to have people at home helping them to stay on track with their plan. For more information about this project, check the handout we sent home or our website.
